Players Classic 2022

Players Classic has always been without a doubt a fan favourite amoungst the FVGN team and 2022 was no exception. A collection of extremely high quality vehicles at the simply iconic Goodwood Motor Circuit. When the weather is on your side, you just cannot beat it at a place like this

Being from the Midlands, yes near buuuurminghum. We had to endure a decent drive in 30+ degrees heat (Yes, that is a near death situation for us Brits) to Goodwood on the Friday. This uncomfortable few hours set up the weekend of action with an almost instant shower required at the AirB&B along with a few well deserved beers.

The Players guys really do know how to organise an event even if they cut sending the tickets a little bit fine. The track action on the Saturday is a chilled agenda with a brisk walk around the cars on offer in this years various Auto Finesse areas inside the track and the usual Players Paddock. The Sunday is promoted as the main event however lacks the track action due to the Players Paddock vehicles being moved to on the track itself, a cool setting but does definitely feel like somethings missing in comparison to Saturday. Having said this, the two days are like two different shows. So we really recommend taking part in the entire Players weekend.

This is an absolutely huge show with lots to see with a good high quality of vehicles on show, especially in the Auto Finesse selected areas. For us this is possibly the best show of the year in the UK and its easy to see why. Who doesn’t love an evening trip to Bognor Regis in the rain!? Delightful.

Thanks Auto Finesse for the free show box and to Monster Energy for fuelling us the weekend and for the next 40 years it seems with those free crates.

Till next year Players x

We’re always doing something at FVGN and while Aaron’s cars have been set on the back-burner for the moment, he’s been playing with his most recent purchase in an old Honda Vision.

This little things come a long way in just a couple months and really does look like it belongs down some strange Japanese back street you definitely don’t want to go down. It’s so perfectly stupid it just had to make it into the show. Bunged into the back of a rental van on the Friday to turning literally so many heads at one of the UKs best shows and most iconic places. Including the shows owner who upgraded its show space to a prime spot on the grass. This is the definition of smiles per gallon, I just had to try not to run him over on the exit of the event.
